Can anyone give me some idea how I can loose fuel from the header tank on a
1966 Alon coupe when it is left sitting for an extended period of time ( 2-3
weeks.) Float gage slowly goes down over a perionb of time) Plane
has electrib fuel pump to deliver fuel from wing tanks to header tank, No
sign of exterior leakage anywhere. It seems to be draining back to the main wing
tanks.some how I believe the over flow is in the back side of
the tank. (no standpipe) and the engine is fed from the bottom of the
tank.
Has me stumped. No problem in flight or if plane is flown regularly.
Plane is hangared. Don't think anyone is stealing? Any input would
be apreciated
