Fred,
My info, quoted by Charles, has to do
mostly with the C-85 and higher engines.
My plane’s engine had already been
converted to C-85 when I bought it and I never paid much attention to the C-75
prop info.
You might want to view Paul Prentice’s
charts which include some basic info on the C-75 with three different props.

Paul’s chart does list the 7349 and
I’d deduce it’s the C-75 Coupe climb prop. At 1260 lb., I’d
suspect you’d get a 1,000’ takeoff roll or less but I’ve
never seen a Coupe that climbed all that fast without an O-200 100 hp engine.
Just don’t believe the people who
say a Coupe will carry anything you can get in it. I saw two chubby guys
get out of their 415-C at a National Convention with the 9 cubic foot baggage
compartment filled to about mid-head-level. I asked about performance and
they said they couldn’t get above 3,000’ for the first hour or two
and had to stay at full power till they burned off fuel.
I also remember the horrible feeling when
our Ercoupe Owners Club president was a passenger at a flyin and the pilot
tried to take off on a hot, summer afternoon. They both died, and not
quickly, after they failed to get off the ground and the plane caught fire
after impact.
Your concern is SMART! I came to
prefer the climb prop, tried to keep within gross weight limits and didn’t
mind giving up a few mph of cruise speed for the improved short-field and climb
performance – even though a Coupe still doesn’t climb all that fast
even with a climb prop.
I’ve also known guys with a cruise
prop which were SLOWER than my climb prop because they just didn’t have
the power to turn the prop to get up to speed at the gross weight at which they
were flying.
Coupes get decent cruise speed with small
engines because of aerodynamic efficiency rather than through lots of
horsepower. I once tied a 108 hp C-152 in a full throttle race with my
C-85 Coupe (before I repitched the prop to be an extreme climb prop). But
I could never climb as fast as that C-152 or my friend’s 115 hp Piper
Colt. I could cruise with them, though.
If it were me, I’d go with
