No, Hartmut, it does not tell that you are a better
mechanic. It says you are an Aviator. One who has a passion for
flying, and does it right. You take pride in the airplane, and know when
things "aren't quite right." This magic gift will keep you flying for a
long time. I hate to tell you this, my friend, but if you keep it up, you
will die in bed and not in a fiery crash.

Subject: [COUPERS-TECH] mechanics
Dear friends.
<Cut for
brevity>
What does that tell me? Am I a better mechanic
than these two?
No. I just know what to expect from a plane,
especially from an Ercoupe. Am I a better pilot than my brother ? Not really. He
just did not know what to expect from the carb heat control and that is a drop
of at least 100 rpm when you pull it on run-up. He was just told that it is
"ok" and not to worry.
Hartmut, who flew N94804 today
