I want to be sure I read the type sheets correctly... This is all about the gussets and sump baffle on a C-85 Ercoupe. The additional baffles called for on a model C (A-718 type sheet) are only required if you are using the Roby prop. Whereas, the D models (A-787 type sheet) mention that the baffles are required for the metal props and Roby prop. Again, only talking about the left and right gusset and sump baffle that sits just a fraction of an inch in front of the sump. I am not talking about the baffle under the engine that goes up against the nose bowl. These would be attached to and right behind that one. The parts manual says "All C-85", but I don't think that is correct according to the type sheets. I bring this up because I know two people with model "C" coupes and C-85 engines that have been told it is required (I admit to thinking this too until I read the sheets closely).
