Hey Darrell: It will help if you can release the clamp on the opposite side
of the muffler, and move the muffler as far as you can on to the exhaust you are
not replacing. I realize it may not want to move until you heat it, but it still
is a good idea. Some of these exhaust pipes extend into the muffler about 1
inch.
