Tom: As Hartmut said, the airplane was originally built with metal covered
outer wing panels.
the gross weight was still 1400 lbs, so it should be possible to get
approval to put fabric outer wing panels on. BUT make sure you get FAA approval
and signature before you make any changes or even spend any money.
