No obstructions were evident when a plastic filiment line was pushed through the return line, BUT did find sloshing compound in the header tank filler neck was coming loose and a small piece (about 1/4" round) was missing. Who knows where else it may be loose and ready to block something else. Any doubts about removing it for repair/replacement have been eliminated in my mind.
There is a local FAA certified shop that fabricates tanks among other things. My thought is to give it to him for repair (removing the sloshing compound and fixing the seam leak). While I'm at it, also will check all the fuel lines, pump, gascolator and carb. Am I missing anything?
