Last week my mechanic found #2 cylinder cracked in the last fin, the crack ran from the top of the fin down to where the head is attached to the barrel,
Compression was good but we was worried that the head may separate from the barrel. We were planning an overhaul with the 0200 crank kit next spring,
So I took Randy Hougham up on his used (Obsolete Parts Idea) worked out great. And I did not have to invest a lot of dollars into a rebuilt cylinder that would be replaced with new ones in a few months.
I think he has a good idea as long as you have the parts checked to make sure that the parts are serviceable.
No intention to cheat SkyPort or Vernon Gregory, but this worked fine for me
As it lets me to continue to Fly a few months more before the big bucks of the overhaul.
