200 lb = pilot

200 lb = copilot

144 lb = fuel

You are over gross weight in any Ercoupe with that setup.

The later Forneys & Alons are having a different gross weight, that would fit this calculation, but they are presumingly heavier as well.

You have to deduct something from the list to fly legally. Since aircraft, fuel and pilot are essential, it's the copilot you need to toss out.

Preferrable before taking off.
