Hi Scott,
Your vertical speed indicator has a little adjustment screw in the lower left hand housing (at about 7:30 o'clock) that can be turned with a small common screwdriver in order to zero it.  Do this on the ground with the plane not moving, with the engine off.  Turn it a little and then tap on the indicator with your knuckle (to simulate the vibration generated by the engine,) then turn it a little more if necessary, etc., until it reads zero.  Easy to do.

Hi Gang,

My vertical airspeed indicator no longer registers zero - (-200fpm)

The airspeed indicator appears to work normally

How does the pitot static system work on the Ercoupe? Since there is no static port on the fuselage, I guess
the tube under the wing has the reference ports on it's sides. Is this correct?

Is there a chance that the gage may just be clogged or....?....$$$$

Thanks,

Scott
