or an Australian bush hat to keep the sun off my head because my hair is not
doing a good enough job lately... From time to time it gets blown off. I have
made a couple of lanyards out of thick fishing line attached to the holes where
the hat rack was, and they are attached to the hat / cap for both pilot and
co-pilot.
Murphy's law applies here. Every time I have the hats connected to the
line, they never get blown off. Just forget to connect them once and it is
gone.
I no longer get my tail number embroidered on the caps. Those are the ones
that blow off easier.
