Thanks for the suggestion Lynn, but that call won't happen.  Since our airplanes were mostly talent-built without drill jigs, I doubt that any used sheet metal would align with old holes and certainly don't want 60 year old parts at 2007 price ratios.  For the amount of time spent on doing this repair, I would demand new and unflawed for a fraction more of what some folks are getting for used.

Hey Al: I would call ***************** about those formed pieces. He has over 30 Coupes, so I suspect he could come up with a couple pretty good ones. He also seems to be fair and not charge an arm and a leg for good parts.
