Gang. While searching the web I came across an interesting article about how extreme low temperatures affect the clearances in our engines. The article goes on that a freshly overhauled engine might freeze up internally because of its tight clearances. Wow. Then again they are talking about temperatures of minus 15 degrees Fahrenheit! This is so darn cold that I probably won't feel the urge of flying anyway. But for those that aren't wimps - here the info: Preheat if you can when the temperatures are that low. But read the article for yourself, the whole site is packed with information, but beware they are out to sell you their expensive equipment. http://www.tanisaircraft.com/article3.html Hartmut ============================================================================== To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm
