All, My A&P got the header tank done and back in. He said he filled it with AvGas 3 days ago; no leaks. For Removal, repair & reinstallation, he charged me for 7 hrs, which I think is probably much less than what it took him, but he said he discounted because he was "inefficient" due to being new to Ercoupes -- and I have to applaud that candor and fairness. His total bill was $508 -- which included $58-worth of rivets and ProSeal. Add to that $200 for the welder's bill for the reinforcing plate. Contact info for A&P available on request. Total down time was 2 weeks, but that included the first 5 days' worth of my skimming 458 Tech Archive posts, plus getting advice from all of you and figuring out what to do before he actually started. I am very glad it's done. The radio installer should also be done tomorrow or Wednesday, so -- barring any problems -- I hope to be up & flying again by Wednesday.
