Hi Tandy,
The master cylinder is not a Cleveland part, it is an Ercoupe part. John at Skyport has a new, better master cylinder than the old ones that are in most of our Ercoupes. Contact him.

Guys - I have been plagued with leaks in the brake system on my Coupe. It has Cleveland brakes. I found and cured one leak in the brake fluid reservoir but still have the leak. Although I am getting good at bleeding the brakes I suspect the master cylinder is the culprit. Looking at the Aircraft Spruce catalog I see that there are four models of the Cleveland Master Brake cylinders: Model 10-35, 10-20, 10-19 and 10-5. It has been too cold here in Kansas to dig into the brake system which, as you may know, requires removal of floor boards and is not easy, so I haven't removed the master cylinder in place to see what model it might be. Question: of the model listed which is most likely to be the one required to replace my existing (leaking?) one? It sure looks like trying to replace the O rings is a lot less expensive. Has anyone tried that and what has been the longevity of the repair?

Tandy
