Just in case, for those who have Slicks, I know of one magneto filter (Lone 
Star)  that is not approved for use with Slick Magnetos because it  can change 
the timing.

Hey Linda: I agree with Hartmut. I ended up with a new pair on a project I 
bought last fall, and after I got it running, I did not like the way it 
operated. I finally took the filters off in order to get the magnetos operating 
properly. As long as everything is properly grounded, and you use shielded 
wiring for the magnetos, I do not think they are a good investment.
