Just in case, for those who have Slicks, I know of one magneto filter (Lone Star) that is not approved for use with Slick Magnetos because it can change the timing. I ended up with a new pair on a project I bought last fall, and after I got it running, I did not like the way it operated. I finally took the filters off in order to get the magnetos operating properly. As long as everything is properly grounded, and you use shielded wiring for the magnetos, I do not think they are a good investment.
