FWIW: I have an ALON with rudder pedals.I am 6'3", 210 lbs. The airplane has
bucket seats, not bench. The brake bar is above the rudder pedals. I have no
problem reaching the pedals or the brake bar. Linda and others point out that
height is not the only criteria involved; torso length is, too. don bowen

I had my first chance to sit in one yesterday and try it on my 6'2",
200 pounds for the first time.

I found that headroom was adequate and shoulder room was cozy, but ok.
However, I had trouble finding a place for my size 14 shoes. If I put
my right foot in front of the brake pedal, my knee blocked the
dashboard controls. If I put it to the right of the steering pole that
emerges from the floor, there was no room for the passenger's feet.
The only place that felt like it would nearly work and be somewhat
comfortable for any time, was above the brake pedal.

Are there any tricks that I missed, or is the Ercoupe just not friendly
for someone my size?

I'll appreciate your thoughts. Thank you.
