Yes Kevin: That is the only way I know to do it. You will most likely have to wiggle the stabilizer and move it forward to get some slack. I put a towel on the fuselage to keep from scratching it. You must be careful to not let the assembly fall off one side or the other and damage the verticals (stabilizers rudders). I have used a short 2 X 4 and placed it on the fuselage to give more room to work as well as lend stability to the unit. Lynn Nelsen
