I can respect the owner for wanting to keep the Ercoupe original, but at this
time there is no monetary or historic value in doing so. The Clevelands work
so much better. If I was looking at purchasing any airplane, Clevelands would
be a plus. They're now over $1K.

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] Cleveland brakes and aircraft value

I was looking at an "authentic" 415-C and asked if it had Cleveland brakes.
Owner stated he
didn't want to do the conversion for fear of decreasing the value of the
plane since it was
  authentic in all other ways.
What does the membership think about whether the switch to Clevelands would
increase or
  decrease the value?
  Thanks,
  Dan
