Darick,
My mechanic and I made an 0.025" aluminum cover for the opening that is right under the propellor. This is the ram-air opening to cool the oil tank. When the cover is installed I get about 30 degrees higher oil temperature. We mounted my cover with nut plates that are riveted into the nose cowl.

All,
Is there an air inlet dam made for any of the three nose cowl openings? Went flying over the weekend in 50 degree temperatures and in 30 minutes of crusing, the engine temp. just made it to 150 degrees. Darick
