Mike,
The mice get in by climbing up on the main gear tires and then up the inside of the main gear fairings, then into the center section under the wing walk area. Once in there they can get just about anywhere in the airplane. Put Bounce sheets in the fuselage, under the floorboards, under the seat pan and under the baggage compartment near the battery box. Also (maybe more important) remove some of the wing inspection covers and put Bounce sheets in the wings. I'd put them in at least 4 locations in each wing. Replace the wing inspection covers.

I have returned from a 2 week trip to find a few mouse droppings on my seat and pieces of torn insulation inside the footwell. OK, I'm not an expert on
poop identification but it must be a small rodent.

How the hell did it get in? The Ercoupe is stored outside with an
engine/canopy cover, and just wing tie downs.

And how do I get rid of it? Steep climb and rock from side to side? Traps?
Likely damage to check for?

This didn't get covered during my PLL course - why not???

Regards,

Mike
