Rick, Where do you live?
When I lived in Iowa, there was 2/3rds of the winter that was sufficiently snow-free for flying from a grass field. Here in the center of Illinois, it's better. I always had a lot of good winter flying though, on my airfields, we had snow plowing and kept going virtually all winter.
