Living in Michigan, I've met a few people who have
done this.  The common theme is "never Again"  One
person had to disassemble his Cub down to the
framework - and it had just been recovered -- he had
to have it recovered again.

It seems a lot depends on WHO is going to approve it. 
Some people are tougher than others.  

I've seen some real steals up there - especially when
the conversion rate was much better for us.  But it
seems the process of getting them legal drives the
costs beyond the savings. 

Bottom line == check out all the costs first.
