Glenn, A few years ago, a group of Alon owners got together and had Univair manufacture about 25 extended baggage compartment kits for the Alon. These parts were the same as the original extended baggage compartment option, and the package included the appropriate factory original drawings, so the installation could be signed off with a 337 as an installation of factory optional parts per Alon drawings. If you are trying to install an extended baggage compartment in an Alon, I would try to find someone who bough the parts kit but never installed it. That would be the easiest route. Somebody had one for sale less than a year ago. I installed this extended baggage compartment kit in my plane. It's quite a bit of work to install.
