Coupers,
I recently installed instrument post lights and an Ameri-King solid
state dimmer circuit in my Alon. If anyone is interested in the
info on this installation I can send you the electrical load
analysis, wiring diagrams, copy of the 337, weight and balance
info, etc.
I installed about 21 post lights, and wired in the avionics dimmer
leads and compass light, etc. The dimmer circuit with heat sink
was mounted aft of the rear baggage wall on an 0.032" aluminum
bracket that I fabricated. This installation took a lot longer to
do than I thought it would (so what else is new?). I had about 35
hours of labor in it, including reconditioning the used post lights
that I bought.
Let me know if anyone is interested. If I get any response, I will
try to scan in all the paperwork next week sometime and get it
emailed out by next weekend (hopefully).
I would tell you how well they work, but I haven't really tried
them at night yet because ..... I'm afraid of the dark.
;>)
