Hey Kevin: The original rear windows on the Ercoupe were the ones fastened
in with screws. The later ones were held in with weather stripping. These later
ones are somewhat larger than the early ones, I think the rear shelf has to
be changed slightly if you are putting the later rear windows in an early
model.
There are two styles of windshield in the Ercoupe. Again, the early
model had a straight windshield, which was fastened at the top with screws.
The
later model was a "bubble " which gave more room on the dash above the
instrument panel. The bubble was held in with a strap over the top of the
windshield. Both styles used the same rubber seal on the base of the
windshield (on the
fuselage).
OBTW are you making this Coupe from original parts, or are you making it
from new? If you already have the fuselage, then the rear windows are cut
out. If there are screw holes around the window, or not, you know what you
have.
