My Coupe was delivered to me by an instructor, who also owns a coupe. After a
few landings, he had me take him home. This was my first experience flying a
Coupe in about 30 yrs.and my only instruction in it.

I had no problems with x-wind landings, however, I too was surprised on one
of my stronger wind condition take offs. The front end came around sooner that
I had expected. I remember reading an account, I think written by Bob Sanders,
of demonstrating a Coupe in strong x-wind conditions. His technique was to push
forward on controls and also lightly apply braking the put more pressure on the
nose wheel for more possitive steering. I have tried that technique, and it has
worked out quite well for me. I am sure it creates more brake wear.

THE SENILITY PRAYER :
Grant me the senility to forget the people
I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and
the eyesight to tell the difference.
