Hi Al, Thank you very much for the kind words. I hope others among our Ercoupe family read the article and reply independently to AC. There is some strength in numbers, even modest numbers.
Given the choice between saying nothing at all, and 'trusting' to have at least a portion of the letter published; I'm opting to give Aviation Consumer a chance to demonstrate their integrity. While I don't like it, I can understand how printing my (our) full 3 page letter is a bit much for their publication; since from their perspective it addresses a hand full of issues for only one aircraft type and is therefore of limited interest to most of their readers. That's no excuse and does not correct what was said & done however; that's probably the best I / we can reasonably hope for in this situation. I'm going to hope for the best and see what happens. Let's all hope that the portion of the letter they print does at least some damage control for the Ercoupe type.
