Tim, I have never seen the Fretwell report; however, you can compile a great deal of information with little effort from the NTSB database which starts in the early 60's. The format of early reports is different than modern, but with a small amount of effort and some trainingin statistics, you should be able to find what you need.
The NTSB database at http://www.ntsb.gov/ntsb/query.asp seems to be down for the last few days. That sometimes happens over a weekend when they are doing maintenance or I suppose do not have staff to troubleshoot. It should be available again during the week.
