Mr. Bear. Shipping a Coupe to Germany will cost you in the range of € 4000 for the 20ft container and insurance. A thousand more or less, depending on who will manage your cargo.
Now add the money for taking the plane apart and packing it into the container. I did that part myself, but I believe that it will cost you a few thousand dollars if you let someone do that work for you. After arrival in Germany, you will have to free the container from the customs. Customs will most likely charge you the import sales tax which is 19% of the value of the goods plus shipping costs. This is how much I pay for parts these days. I pay 19% on the value of the part plus another 19% of the shipping costs. Now add a few hundred Euros for having the container transported to your final destination and add what ever the costs are for unpacking and reassembling. I did that myself again and had an A&P go over it. My brother was charged more than € 2000 for that work. A shipment will bring you easy over 12000 Euros, with some luck, you will pay less, most likely more. 1. dissemble and pack € 2000 2. container costs € 4000 3.
