A couple of folks mentioned aircraft tie-downs for an upcoming fly-

airplane, I highly recommend that you take a look at The Claw tie-
down that is sold by Aircraft Spruce and several other suppliers.
This is without a doubt the best and easiest to use aircraft tie-
down that I have ever seen. I've tried a couple of the spiral type
screw-in tiedowns, and I've tried the steel shaft with the spiral
blade at the end, but they are junk compared to the Claw. In
really hard ground, the screw in types either won't start screwing
in, or they take a tremendous amount of effort to screw in, or they
screw half way in and they break off. The Claw is really a great
invention. Super easy to put in the ground, and super easy to
remove, and holds better than anything I've tried. The kit comes
complete with everything you need, including a good quality stora!
ge bag.
No, I don't have a commercial interest in The Claw. But I wish I did!
