Hi Woody,
Let's see if this one gets through. The $20 kit that I constructed
was built from an article in EAA's Vintage Airplane magazine, published
about 6 or 7 years ago. I don't have the exact date, though. I could
measure my kit up and send you all the details. On the other hand, for
$89 the Claw comes with a nice durable carrying case and a hammer. I
had to buy those extra, plus a tap and die set to thread the rods, and
my Cordura nylon case cost me $60. I'm not sure that I saved much money
at all. Write back if you want measurements.

Hey gang, I've sent a couple of notes asking for the components of the
$20 pair of tiedowns that I thought Syd had constructed. I haven't
gotten any response. Wanted to make sure my e-mails weren't "lost in
the mail". I found "the Claw" for a price of $89, but $20 sounds much
better! I will need a set for Oshkosh (getting ready early!). Thanks
for your
help........Woody94176
