I have to agree with the "quick-to-move" part. I looked for several months in Barnstormers and the Ercoupe forums. It seems every time I called on a good looking Ercoupe, it was already sold. I started checking online at my lunch hour. I saw a new posting at noon in Barnstormers and picked up the phone right away. I committed to buy it verbally with the option to view the plane first. I was on a plane two days later, and I got several calls during that short time from the owner asking if I was still coming. Apparently, he could have sold it several times over from the time he committed to selling it to me to when we signed a contract. The contract allowed for a pre-buy inspection so I managed to secure the purchase and have some level of assurance that I wasn't buying big headaches.
