One of my Curtis fuel drain valves is leaking and I need to replace it. My plane is SN 244 with the 7.7 gal tanks. The Curtis valve currently in place fits a 7/16" wrench, but the sizes in the catalog are listed as pipe thread sizes (1/8", 1/4", 3/8" 1/2").
1. Can anybody assist me in figuring out the right size? 2. Is this job simply using a wrench to unscrew the old valve and then screwing in the new one? Any hidden tricks or special tips to doing this? 3. Do I need to use any sealant? Any and all advice will be appreciated Thanks Eliacim
