Dave. Thank you. Excellent find.
It seems to be the 4 seat "Aircoupe" that Alon came up with. They built this one prototype and it is actually still flying. Nice. Not a Weick construction though. Fell in lust with the Ercoupe when Young Eagles took my grandaughter up (and with me in another 'coupe to photograph). Hopefully I will be getting one of my own soon. But the real reason for this message is I have stumbled across an ad on http://www.aircraftowner.com/ for a 4 seat Ercoupe XA-4, and wanted to advise the list about it. You will have to search their listings (can't seem to figure out the direct link). It is commented: "1966 Alon XA-4. FOUR SEAT Ercoupe. Only one factory built. 400 hrs. total time, 150 h.p. Lycoming / McCaully constant speed prop (just overhauled), certified 'Experimental' category." Interesting... Dave Harding
