I just looked more carefully at the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, accessed via the AOPA's website. The invitation to comment seems to be just to address *these* proposed new rules, so -- despite the fact that I did submit comments electronically along the lines Eliacim & Fred were requesting -- I think we may be whistling in the breeze. I saw no general invitation to tell them what *other* rulemaking (or unmaking!) we think they ought to do, only to comment on the specific new rules they have proposed.
