Last summer I completed my private glider rating as an add-on to my private
balloon rating. I went to Arizona and did it as part of my vacation. It
took me 8 days. I followed up when I got home to TX and received my
self-launch endorsement in one day. I now fly with a glider club in Briggs,
TX.

I enjoyed adding this rating and I documented my story. It will appear in
the May 2008 issue of Sport Aviation published by the EAA. It is a good
issue as it has several other glider articles featured.

Best,
John
