It's not a Forney style. It's off of a nose gear with steel scissors.

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] Steering Sleeve

I bought a new (used) Forney style steering sleeve--mine was
cracked--and found it had an odd one piece plastic(bakelight?) bushing
with steel insert rather than the standard chrome moly two piece--has
no grease fiting either. Also it is .25 ID and .5 OD in size. My
parts book says 5-26 bolt (5/16)ID and the old OD was .415. Any
thoughts? John N2138H
