Data Plates
Henry Berliner who started the Engineering & Research Corp. in 1930 (ERCO)
decided to get out of the aviation industry. During World War II, ERCO made
many
products under U.S. government war contracts including gun turrets and many
sub contracted aircraft parts.
Before closing his company in 1947 he sold most of its inventory. The ERCO
Data Plates were not part of this inventory Sanders did not want them. Further
arrangements were also made with Sanders Aviation to purchased Berliner's
drawings, tools, parts. materials and distribution rights for the Ercoupe.
Sanders
continued to build Ercoupes using new Sanders Aviation data plates.
These original copies of the data plates were purchased by me at an antique
market in Lancaster, Pa.
They are for an ERCO MODEL 415-C only. As yet I have not made any decisions
on the selling price, and waiting for additional feed back. Thank you all for
inquiring.
