Even if that new fuel proved to be technically viable, count on our politicians to mess it up, either by regulating it out of our reach (to satisfy their environmental obsessive compulsiveness), or by artificially subsidizing it and wrecking the balance of supply and demand in the market (like with ethanol, where subsidies have driven food prices up).
