Richard, I wanted to clean the in-let and over flow lines in my tank,
I looked around and found a spray can of Carb cleaner. I emptied the
tank, disconnected the fittings to the tank , stuck the plastic tube
in the holes and pushed and sprayed. When it sprayed freely, I put
the tank back together and the problem was solved. Mike @ C35

took it for a test flight last Friday evening. The plane looked great
and flew perfectly. My partner took it for a flight yesterday and
advised that when he reduced power on final approach, fuel began to
over-flow rapidly from the header tank. As he would add power to the
throttle, the over-flow was reduced but not stopped. As you reduce
throttle power, the over-flow increases a great deal.

the over-flow issue myself. As I was taxiing, I noticed the header
tank filling by watching the float indicator go higher than usual. It
then began a pretty heavy over-flow to where fuel was running down
the cowling. At that point I just chopped power to avoid a fire. Now
as it sits in my hangar, the fuel float is back to where it should
be. It's acting as though the fuel return back to the wing tanks has
slowed. It appears that the fuel pump is sending fuel to the header
tank faster than it's returning to the wing tanks.

lines, or could something else be causing this issue? I did check the
vents on all 3 fuel caps, and they are clear. Other than that. I'm at
a loss.
