1. With the Cleveland's it is best to get the Skyport master and then 
you won't have to mess with it again.

2. There is to pressurization of the nose gear and the fluid is not 
what holds it up. The fluid is only used during touch down. There is 
a spring in the strut that is used on the ground. It sounds like it 
has compressed or broken if the nose has gone down. There are 
detailed overhaul instructions for the nose gear in the service 
bulletins.
