It's not too hard, Dennis.

The datum for the 415C is the front of the firewall.

The main gear sits 44 inches back of the datum and the nose gear sits 16 inches
in front.

Let's say your weights are:

LM - 362.1#
RM - 365.1#
NT - 267.6#

Here's how the Formula works:
MEASURED WEIGHT ARM MOMENT (WT TIMES ARM)
       362.1 44.00 15,932.40
       365.1 44.00 16,064.40
       267.6 -16.00 -4,281.60

TOTAL 994.8 27,715.20

Your total weight is the sum of the weights. The moment is the sum of the
moments. (Nose gear creates a negative moment)

Working backward, the NEW arm is 27,715.20/994.8 = 27.86 inches aft of the
firewall.

Approved CG limits for the 415C seems to be between 26.4 inches and 30.3 inches
when you're loaded up. Adding people, gas, socks, and toothbrush will move the
arm back even more, so you're "good to go" up to the gross weight limits.

Hope that helped.
