It is presently about midnight having returned to my RI residence via
the commercial cattle cars. Middle finger rt. hand sprain is a very
uncomfortable nuisance, but otherwise unhurt - slight scalp cut where
my noggin smashed the ASI glass and slightly stove in my vintage panel.
Feel so guilty about possibly removing a nice example from the
population I rather wish I was more bashed up. My present hope &
prayer is that John Wright Sr. (+Jr.?) -both of whom I met at Wausau
and Sr. again at OSH can restore it - I spoke with him (Sr.) and he
said to send photographs - I may learn my fate Thurs. Meanwhile, a
detailed description of the incident will have to wait a wee bit as (A)
I gotta hit the rack - this has been troubling and tiring, {2} I gotta
respond to the FAA "We're here to help you." & NTSB & ins. co. so [III]
once I get my mind some what more "right" I can report.

Possible Ercoupe Killer
still, here it is in its briefest form:
> calm wind at take off - sudden gust from right "stole" lift and
shifted me left and caused momentary loss of altitude so as I recovered
I was looking at tree (what what was that doing in the middle of a 3
runway turf airport?) - I believe this to be an accurate description,
but would one of the other runways been better? - no markings (private
field) didn't help, but the wind sock was flaccid as I did the run-up
-And/Or-
> gross pilot error
As Harry Truman said, The Buck Stops Here
and, before I turn in, let alone tend to the bucket of email backed up,
it's Google Earth, looking for the airport
