Quick test whether the cap is at fault is to switch caps between tanks. If you
see the fuel still overflow on the right tank, it is not the cap.

You can not fill the coupe up to the top. It is best to leave the fuel level 1
inch below the filler cap. That way fuel spills while taxiing should be a rare
occasion.

If your described behavior happens during flight, you are looking at another
problem. Try switching the caps first. If the problem follows the cap, check
both caps.

The vented caps pressurize the tanks slightly inflight. If one cap is lightly
blocked, the uneven pressure will force fuel out on one side.

+0000Subject: [ercoupe-tech] Fuel leaking from right tank fuel cap vent

Noticed a fuel leak from the right fuel tank cap vent. It's beingpushed out at
a pretty fast rate. Does anyone know what would causethis? I did notice that
the left cap vent hole is a little bigger thethe right? Could it be the
cap?Thanks,Van SligerN94065
