Hi Jim:
First of all, how can you be finding ethanol free fuel in the land of "Big
Brother"? I was under the impression that all auto fuel was to be polluted
with ethanol by EPA edict!
As to using auto fuel in the our small Continental engines. It is
eminently compatible! I have been using it for a number of years and it is
great! It seems to give a slightly better fuel burn and the engine runs
smoother. There is also the great side benefit of not ever having any spark
plug problems!
Don't worry about using the unleaded fuel: Maynard.

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] STC for C-85
What are the good and bad considerations for using non- ethanol auto
fuel in C-85 engines ? What are the percentages of those that do and
do not use auto gas ? AVGAS at FDK remains $ 6.00 per gallon and the
local gas stations are selling non- ethanol for under $ 2.00. In my
Coupe that amounts to a $20 per hour savings but I am concerned about
the engine life as well as insuring the gas is filtered enough to be
safe.
