Hey Carl,
 
1. You did the right thing by aborting on your mile-long runway if it didn't
feel right.
2. No need to guess at the proper RPM.  Your owner's manual as the correct
static RPM for a 75 HP engine and whatever pitch your prop is.  If you don't
have the owner's manual surely someone here can tell you the correct
minimum/maximum static RPM.

 ... Because I was only seeing 2150 rpm and, even 
though it was firewalled, only 69 mph indicated and no more even 
letting it continue well down the 5500 ft. runway, so I aborted the 
take-off. My instructor always taught me that if something didn't 
feel right, or if I wasn't comfortable with the aircraft, abort and 
check things out again before proceeding.
