Chris, I like the Velcro strap-on PTT. I put it around the pretzel yoke, at the upper right corner, about 2:00 o'clock, angled down for my thumb. This went well with my hand gripping the yoke at the top-center (which prevents a yoke-turn in unexpected, sudden turbulence g-loads). This made pushing the PTT something delegated to my cerebellum. If I wanted to talk outside the plane, my cerebellum pushed my thumb on the switch with no demand on my higher brain function. I guess, if you wanted to show off the plane as being in "original" condition at an air show, you could quickly unwrap the Velcro and hide the PTT. Ed
