Tom. I too have a hard time to envision your problem. If your spar looks like the one following this link http://www.ercoupe.info/?n=Main.CrackedSpar then the spar needs to be changed. If your spar does not have the doublers yet, adding the doublers might be the appropriate fix. But your A&P needs to decide that. Hartmut

The kink starts fromthe middle of the spar and goes vertically to the top of the spar butstops where the bend in the spar is. The bottom of the spar isn'tkinked either. There are no cracks anywhere in the spar.
