It is in the piano hinge of the trim tab. I never, ever noticed it, until I 
looked for it. I have two.

    Can someone tell me where the spring would be located. I'm trying to see if 
it has 
        been installed and still in good condition; but don't find it.




      FAA Regulatory Information           
      50-07-01 ERCO: Applies to Ercoupe Models 415C 
      (Which Incorporate Adjustable Elevator Trim Tabs), 415CD, and 415D 
Airplanes.
      To be accomplished by September 1, 1950.
      To preclude the possibility of elevator flutter in the event the elevator 
trim tab control wire fails, elevator trim tab stop and spring, Erco P/N 
415-SK-287 and 415-22035 should be installed.
